Job Description:
This position is responsible for managing the development and execution of reports, tools and analytics required to assess Wells Fargo Home Mortgage repurchase exposures, forecasting future repurchases, and enhancing risk visibility.
- Conclude analysis for settlement proposal decisions. Assure tools and reports are kept up to date with current approaches and data.
- Assist in the use of tools and analytics to identify opportunities or potential problems/future repurchase exposures.
- Build integrated tools that identify risks and exposures associated with repurchases and MI rescissions via strong understanding of business process and technical aspect of applications.
- Candidate must have understanding of repurchase components and subsequent impact to overall business.
- Strong technical skills relative to credit risk.
- Develop innovative and creative approaches to reporting and problem solving; create optimal solutions and facilitate timely decisions while anticipating broader impact of decisions.
- Candidate must be able to create and maintain monthly/weekly management reports as well as develop ongoing reports to support evolving business needs.
- Ensure technology solutions to meet ad hoc and daily business objectives including but not limited to programming, coding, installations, migrations, etc.
- Development of ad-hoc reports through SAS and other programming to enable repurchase risk visibility and trend analysis.
- Provide revision implementation to repurchase tracking platforms (including ARS) and/or reporting functions built therein.
- Lead system integration solutions for all on-site and off-site repurchase areas.
Essential Functions:
- Develops ad-hoc reports to conduct data analysis and validation
- Formulates new internal processes and analytical reports to improve information resources
- Gathers data from departments; updates periodic reports; analyzes statistical data to identify and corrects errors and to evaluate general content
- Utilizes business unit knowledge; proactively researches requests for assistance and recommends software solutions or process improvements that will meet business needs –
- Performs review analyses, including accumulation of data, financial & forecast modeling, reporting and monitoring of responses
- Analyzes trends to recommend process and/or operational improvements - Researches methodologies and conducts advanced metric reporting
- Evaluates financial impact of implemented initiatives
Preferred Skills:
MBA degree
Minimum Qualification:
Bachelor's degree
4+years of Experience in Portfolio Management/Analytics
Excellent Communications Skills (Written & Verbal)
Strong Attention to Detail
Ability to Thrive in a Deadline-oriented, High-Pressure Environment with Demanding Workload.
Solid Understanding of Analytics.
Strong Skills with Microsoft Excel Including Use of VBA, Macros, Microsoft Access, Visual FoxPro, SAS, SQL, etc.
Must Have SAS Programming Experience
