DIRECTOR OF PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT
Job Description

· Owning the development of the strategy and execution to accelerate the growth of business through new product development.
· Developing the strategic product roadmap that guides the longer-term evolution of our business and provides products necessary to meet our future growth aspirations and commitments.
· Providing broad thought leadership concerning the strategy for growth of the business and follow through with product implementation.
· Determining the strategic direction of product releases; managing cross-functional teams, interfacing with and influencing design and product development teams to ensure consistency in our strategic product approach.
· Initiating appropriate research plans with internal and external customers designed to uncover opportunities for improved customer needs fulfillment.
· Assessing business progress, provide evaluation of end-user segmentation and gauge progress and growth prospects by sales channels.
· Conducting analysis to determine the best approach to recommend developments, either through internal build, external partnerships or acquisitions; present the recommendations to senior/C-level management and own the implementation of the project.
· Providing general management for new product development and initiatives from inception and funding through development and roll out.

Key Requirements:
· 7-10 years minimum of Product Management and Development experience
· Effective and influential change agent
· Demonstrated track record in product development and implementation of plans to support a growth business.
· Extensive experience in managing products and teams.
· Outstanding leadership capabilities, defined as excellent presence and communication skills, clear ability to motivate and guide team effort, and an ability to manage according to measurable standards.
· Strong analytical and strategic skills that allow the individual to recognize, evaluate and course-correct as needed to achieve operational and strategic objectives.
· Financial acumen to manage a high return on investment initiatives as well as to understand the parameters of key negotiations with customers and partners.
Working knowledge of healthcare industry beneficial, but not required.
