Senior SAS Developer – Golden Valley, MN – Requisition #328338

Position Description:
Positions in this function deliver professional level technical work in support of the development of company products, tools, platforms and services, typically for an external customer or end user. This role, specifically, will support the eVisor development team. In this position you will work closely with a team of Systems Analysts, Data Architects and Developers responsible for managing a SAS based application designed to process large amounts of data from several sources and generate stratified lists of candidates who would benefit from our products and services. You will be responsible for analyzing business requirements and working with a project team to design and develop technical solutions for small, medium, and large enhancement efforts. You will ensure development standards and methodologies are followed while occasionally providing work direction to onsite and offshore developers.
Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree or 8 years of Software Development experience
• 5+ years of SAS development experience (Base SAS, Business Intelligence, Data Integration, Macros)
• 5+ years application analysis and design experience (translating business requirements into detailed design specification)
• 5+ years experience with Microsoft Office Excel and Visio
• 2+ years of Oracle experience
• 1+ years of experience working in a Unix environment
Assets:
• Experience designing and developing large-volume (> 50 million records) SAS batch and transactional processes
• Experience utilizing SDLC best practices and processes, including automated code management and code promotion
• Experience providing work direction and task management to small groups of developers both onsite and remote
• SPDS database experience
• Experience estimating work effort, planning and scheduling tasks for small project teams
• Strong understanding of project phases and development deliverables and an ability to investigate and troubleshoot application and data issues
