Position Description:
Positions in this function deliver professional level technical work in support of the development and operational processes of company products, tools, platforms and services, typically for an external customer or end user. This role, specifically, will support the eVisor production team by leveraging SAS development skills to drive solutions for operational issues and helping to direct offshore development resources to gain additional efficiencies. In this position you will work closely with a team of IT professionals and business stakeholders to manage the process surrounding a production environment for a SAS based application designed to process large amounts of data from several sources and generate stratified lists of candidates who would benefit from our products and services. You will identify and maintain operational enhancements for this application and address operational issues as they arise.
Positions in this function are predominantly involved in developing business solutions by creating new and modifying existing software applications. Primary contributor in designing, coding, testing, debugging, documenting and supporting all types of applications consistent with established specifications and business requirements to deliver business value.
Qualifications:
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of SAS development experience (Base SAS, Business Intelligence, Data Integration, Macros)
• 5+ years application analysis and design experience (translating business requirements into detailed design specification)
• 3+ years experience with Microsoft Office (Excel) and Visio
• 2+ years of Oracle and SPDS database experience
• 1+ year of experience working in a Unix environment
Assets:
• Experience designing and developing large-volume (> 50 million records) SAS batch and transactional processes
• Experience utilizing SDLC best practices and processes, including automated code management and code promotion
• Experience providing work direction and task management to small groups of developers both onsite and remote
• Ability to successfully multi-task in a fast-paced environment, adapting to changing priorities
• Strong professional communication skills
• Ability to investigate and troubleshoot application and data issues
