Job Summary
The Sr. SAS Marketing Analyst will work with customers from Marketing and Client Services to provide business analytics on New Product Development, Product/ Program Evaluation, and Benefit Plan Performance Analysis. The focus is on developing operational insights that can be leveraged into new product development and/ or process improvements. They will drive the value realization process by pulling together learning from quantitative analysis and business experiences to recommend an action plan. They will remain involved as needed, through the implementation process and provide continuity throughout the analysis/ implementation cycles.
The Sr. SAS Marketing Analyst will also maintain the knowledge base on data warehouse information. The availability of data in the database, the interpretation of the variables, the business inference during the utilization of the data are all part of the fundamental business side database expertise. The ad hoc reporting, analysis and data requests are an important part of the job.
In large analytic projects, the Sr. SAS Marketing Analyst would act as the lead analyst to coordinate the effort of 2 or more data analysts. They will leverage existing BI expertise in defining data requirements and automated reporting through Prime Reporter to provide the most value added, efficient and scalable response to customer requests. Driving results that are tangible for customers and Prime.
Responsibilities
• Create large data sets from available data sources and shape it into usable data for specific business analysis as part of the deliverable to an analysis or data request;
• Work with BI Data Steward and IM team to define variables in data table as part of the effort to create a consistent and informative data dictionary;
• Support Marketing campaign list segment selection and post campaign analysis on campaign effectiveness;
• Perform operation analysis to solve business problems and improve operational results;
• Work with IM to understand and map the process through which data are generated and processed into the data warehouse.
Basic Qualifications
• Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Science or Engineering or equivalent experience;
• 3 or more years of SAS, SPSS, and/ or SQL programming experience with large data set;
• Extensive experience working with enterprise level data warehouse;
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications
• Project implementation experience that drive insights to business results;
• Experienced in business analysis, operational modeling and/ or reporting;
• Excellent oral and written communication skills;
• PBM or healthcare experience desired
