Program Analyst - Complex Medical Condtions - Golden Valley MN - 325910

Position Description:
This technical leadership position provides Analytical support to help establish the value stories and equations for Optum's Complex Medical Conditions Products and Businesses.

Primary Responsibilities:
•Uses SAS to extract, manipulate and analyze claims data
•Produces tables, exhibits, graphs, and written summaries of work done

Qualifications:
•3+ years managing analytical projects with large, complex datasets
•3+ years of SAS experience involving retrieval, massage and analysis processes for claims-based data
•3+ years of experience with health care performance measures & metrics (e.g., quality of care, outcomes, utilization)
•3+ years experience with data and file structures organizational techniques in a relational database management setting

Assets:
•Demonstrable proficiency with SAS BASE and STAT packages
•Claims and/or analytics experience with exposure to complex medical conditions is highly desired
•Master's degree in Statistics/Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Public Health or Health Services Research is highly desired
•Experienced with SAS programming (Version 8 or higher), including PROC SQL with ODBC, and DB2/Oracle Client interface
•Ability to construct Power Point decks and conduct Presentations
