ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY  In this position, you will be responsible for the testing of application or system changes in coordination with Internal Operations or External Clients. This position is considered the testing liaison between the business and IT.    


RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Write test cases to test application or system functionality.

  • Run manual test cases for application or system functionality and perform analysis to ensure that it meets design specifications and is within total quality management limits and standards.

  • Document and publish testing results, troubleshoot, and escalate issues as appropriate.

  • Consult with senior peers on non-complex projects to learn through experience.

  • Create test plan documentation for assigned projects.

  • Manage testing for more applications or systems at a given time, applications or systems of a bigger size, or a combination of both.

  • Lead or mentor less senior QA analysts.

  • Work under general supervision with latitude for independent judgment

 



  • 3+ years SQL experience in a data services environment required, 5 years preferred

  • 3+ years Team Foundation Server (TFS) experience required, 5 years preferred

  • 3+ years Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), 5 years preferred

  • Software Quality Assurance certification such as CSTE (Certified Software Test Engineer)

  • Design and execution of IEEE (or equivalent) test plans and/or test cases experience

  • Ability to mentor others and lead projects when necessary

  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written skills

  • Previous experience with Waterfall, Agile and other formal methodologies
